P.F. Chang's Chicken Lettuce Wraps
Ingredient
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 whole sweet Vidalia or yellow onion, diced small
- 1/3 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp Asian chili garlic sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 8 oz water chestnuts, drained and diced small
- 2 whole green onions, sliced into thin rounds
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 head butter lettuce leaves, for serving
Instructions
- Heat: olive oil and sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground chicken and cook while breaking up the meat into crumbles.
- Add: diced onion, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and chili garlic sauce. Cook for about 5 minutes until onion is soft and translucent and most liquid has been absorbed, stirring occasionally.
- Add: minced garlic and ginger. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add: water chestnuts, green onions, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 2 minutes until tender.
- Taste: and adjust seasonings if needed, adding more soy sauce, hoisin, pepper, etc. as desired.
- Spoon: about 1/4 cup of the mixture into lettuce leaves to serve.
